When Dallas Keuchel took the mound to face the team he started the season with, he didn’t expect to get pounded for 15 runs over 7 innings. “The Fuzzballs came out swinging the bat, I didn’t really expect that as they had been kinda silent when I was with them” said Keuchel after the game. He added “and I was kinda stressed because I knew they wanted me to go deep with AJ unavailable”. Following the worst-ever loss in Batbreaker League history, the Garveys lost 7-2 at home to the Spiky Dudes. “We were pretty flat” said Justin Bour, one of the Garveys top run producers, “we weren’t really swinging the bat, and our pitching staff is pretty thin too, you know, early season stuff. We’ll be back” added Bour “now with Hughsey in the rotation we’re going to be back in our America’s Team form, I just know it.”
The Garveys play the Spiky Dudes next, this time on the Dudes home turf.
