Freeman is Back in the ‘Breakers’ and Better Than Ever

By Charm Plankovich March 14, 2021

Freddie Freeman made a huge splash in his first game with the Fishbones going 4 for 4 with an astounding 3 homers and 6 RBIs.  Freeman was a regular at the top of the offensive leaderboard in BatBreaker before opting to play internationally for a while to ‘test the waters’.  ‘It was eye-opening for me’ said Freeman of his 14-month trek ‘I played for a lot of different teams across the globe like in Russia and China and Cuba, I learned to say a few phrases in each language, like “I crushed it” and “I destroyed it”.

While struggling at first in a new league with a different culture, Freeman managed to catch on after a few months with a new training regimen.  “They do it a bit different over there.  Instead of taking vitamins and nutritional supplements in pill form as we do here, they actually have it in liquid form and put it in a syringe and give you shot.  They do that because they say they “don’t like taste” I thought it was funny at first because vitamins really don’t have a taste, but once I started crushing the ball 500 or 600 feet I thought “this is fine, I can do this” ‘ finished Freeman.

“Having Freddie on the team has been a big shot in the arm for us” said Want Fishbones manager Tatchriss.  “We have struggled offensively this season but I have a feeling that Freddie’s impact is going to muscle our offensive numbers a lot higher”.

When asked if he would consider playing internationally again Freeman said “You know I made a lot of great contacts over there, so if I run out of these liquid vitamins I will definitely reach out, but playing again over there?  Well, we’ll have to see if the Fishbones want to bring me back next season.” chuckled a confident Freeman.

Based on his first game back, I don’t think that is going to be a problem for Freddie.
