Haniger 12th-Inning Walk-Off Blast Evens Series!

In what will undoubtedly go down one of the greatest BatBreaker post-season games in history, the Garveys outlasted the fiery Jerk Fuzzballs in a 12-inning duel that ended with a very loud bang.

After dueling for the first 11 and a half innings, the first pitch in the bottom of the 12th inning by the best reliever of the season (Pedro Baez) was launched by Season 8 Home Run champion Mitch Haniger into the bleachers in left field.  “The stadium literally erupted” said Garveys clutch-position player David Fletcher “it was full of Garveys fans and no one left when we went into extras, so when the sound of that ball coming off Hanni’s bat was that loud and everyone new it was a no doubter, the place was crazy!”  finished Fletcher.

The Jerk Fuzzballs who were on the cusp of winning their second BatBreaker Series Championship in 3 seasons, scored all 5 of their runs in the first two innings of the game.  “It looked early like it was going to be a blowout” said Garveys platooning catcher Mitch Garver “they jumped all over Meek (Garveys pitcher and strikout leader Miles Mikolas) in the first, he was just a bit off, you know, the nerves of the post-season and all.”  But something amazing happened after the second inning, after pulling Mikolas after his second inning of work, the Garveys bullpen only allowed a single hit over the next 10 frames…a bloop single to Tyler Naquin.

The final game of the series will be played in Jerk Park with Garveys ace Trevor Richards facing off against Jerk Fuzzballs late-season acquisition Touki Toussaint.
