Lindor’s Slam Slams Door On Fuzzballs Trophy Hopes

In what was the third BatBreaker Series Game 3 game between these two storied franchises, the Pulitzer Prize goes to Francisco Lindor and ghost writer manager Steve Garvey who set up the top of the second inning for the game-changing moment.

In an unprecedented move, Steve Garvey pinch-hit for Garveys ace starter and likely BatBreaker Season 8 Super Starter Trevor Richards in the top of the second inning with runners at the corners.  “Real gutsy move…that guys got guts” grunted veteran BatBreaker correspondent Milt Brimley as he watched the game from the pressbox.  “That’s why he keeps winnin’ year after year, he ain’t afraid of nothin’ and nobody” finished Brimley as he chewed his cigar.  Pinch-hitting dual threat Ohtani drew a walk to load the bases setting the scene for Lindor’s epic home run.  “I knew they would pitch around Shoh” said a satisfied Steve Garvey after the game “they always do, and for good reason, the guy gets an RBI every time he touches a bat” said Garvey.

The slam created a deficit from which the juggernaut Jerk Fuzzballs were not able to recover.  “It was a real wind-out-of-our-sails moment” stated Fuzzballs former powerhouse Pete Alonso who spent the game on the bench nursing a bruised thigh which he suffered during game 2.  “The whole team just deflated when Lindor bombed that fastball, ya know because we weren’t really known for our offense so a 4-run deficit was something that we never really came back from all season” finished Alonso.

With the 5 to 3 win the Garveys won their fourth BatBreaker Series Trophy, more than any other team.  We’ll see you in Season 9.
